If you are looking for one of the toughest challenges in the UK, or are wanting to raise money for your designated charity, then the Three Peaks Challenge is for you. Let Pinnacle Adventure use their vast experience in outdoor logistics to help you complete this fantastic achievement.
The challenge is to climb to the highest point in Scotland, England and Wales, in either a designated 24 hour period or a more leisurely three day period.
Pinnacle Adventure offer two options for the challenge
Three Peaks of Great Britain - 24 HOUR CHALLENGE
Starting and ending and ends in North Wales. We travel up to Scotland to climb the first peak Ben Nevis and start roughly 18.00 hrs.
Following our success we travel straight to Wasdale in the English Lake District to navigate up Scafell Pike. Then the last leg is back to North Wales to start from Llanberis Pass and conquer Snowdon - hopefully in 24 hours. We then stay one night in North Wales to celebrate the achievement.
Please realize that if there are roadworks or particularly tired participants, it’s difficult to make the time back. Having said that, if we don’t succeed in under 24 hours this is still a massive achievement.
Cost is approximately £300 p.p based on 8 people, this includes all transport, costs, drivers and qualified Mountain Leaders plus accommodation on the last night and a free days training in north wales*** prior to the event. (*** see below for details)
***The free training consists of a mountain day in North Wales covering the preparation for the 3 Peaks Challenge. The following items will be covered during the training day: Fitness training, navigation skills, hydration and nutritional information, mountain safety and equipment required for the challenge.
Three Peaks of Great Britain – 3 DAY CHALLENGE
Starting and ending in North Wales. We travel up to Scotland to climb the first peak. The first night is spent in a bunk barn or youth hostel and the following morning we conquer the highest mountain in the UK - Ben Nevis.
Straight after, we travel to the English Lake District to stay one night in another bunk barn and the following day navigate up Scafell Pike. Then the last leg, back to North Wales to stay the last night in yet another relaxing bunk house and the following day climb Snowdon from the Llanberis Pass.
Depending on your group’s budget, the accommodation can range from camping, bunk houses or youth hostels.
Cost is approximately £400 p.p (based on a group of eight people) - this includes accommodation, all transport and staff costs
